This is a fantastic condition fully functional small wrist compass, as worn by many U. S. soldiers during WWII. It very much resembles a watch of the period, probably because it was made by WALTHAM Watch Co, as indicated on the compass face. It has a green painted brass casing, which is marked on the back R 88 C 890, the contract number. The compass is fully functional, though the top crystal has a lot of small
