Gorgeous Elongated Balls in Cage Whimsy in Old Alligatored White Paint  colored ink drawing I would sure love to

I would sure love to see

4 5/8" tall x 3 1/4" wide x 2" deep

but the tip of one mouthpart on the underside is broken (not visible when worn) and it appears to have lost to the very end tip of the wings

Many of these old turned and painted wooden apples--made in Japan for the Western market-- housed roulette style horse racing games and the like

Gorgeous Elongated Balls in Cage Whimsy in Old Alligatored White Paint  colored ink drawing I would sure love toNot especially fancy but I must say this is one of the most beautiful carved whimsies I've ever seen due to the elongated shape of the two "balls" in their cages and most of all the incredible alligatoring of the white paint. 19th c. I believe and just gorgeous pure sculpture to me. 7 3 4 l x 7 8 x 7 8 and in very good condition, no issues or repairs.
